Our Story

How it all Started

Maybe it's cliche, but it has to be said: The Treehouse of Writers was founded on friendship and a love of writing. We always wanted to publish something together. After a handful of attempts at co-authored stories, a shared site, and a good many role plays, we decided that an anthology would be a better idea. Not all of us were able to participate in the first release, but we are all a part of making this website.

It is our hope that you will find exciting new reads, learn more about our awesome authors, and maybe pick up a friend or two along the way.

Marlene Simonette

The drive of the Treehouse, Robyn organizes cover reveals, anthologies, and other fun things for the group. She also initiates brainstorming sessions, encourages everyone, and contributes book reviews.

A fairly typical tea-loving fantasy bookwyrm, Marlene helps maintain the site, plan blog tours, and contributes book reviews and recommendations.

Creator of Simons. The resident sharp-witted wordsmith, organizer of shenanigans, and contributor of miscellany website blurbs.

Phoenix Xiao

A lover of birds and traditional tales, Phoenix contributes pieces on Asian mythology. She's also the first to chime in with encouragement any time it's needed.

Trissy

Trissy

The residential dragon expert, Triss contributes pieces on dragons and all of their epic attributes. Hers is the hardest task of all. She lives in a tiny library with ten dragons.

Pipn

A lover of cats and music, Pipn spends her time drinking tea and wrangling munchkins into the arts. She contributes the occasional book review.

Nicas

Nicas is a typo-hunting pixie. When she isn't eliminating pleonastic phrasings, she spends her time in the great outdoors. She contributes help with editing, and the occasional book review.
